Come experience South Florida’s unique art flavour!
BAW’s monthly events bring the works of well established and recognized artists to the Brickell community. Our mission is to serve as a vehicle to enhance Brickell’s and Miami’s cultural ambiance and to give Brickellians the opportunity to meet prestigious artists and collectors, up-close and personal. Every venue will also feature a new artist, making each BAW experience a journey through a wide variety of art styles and prices.
(Miami, June 18, 2015) The Brickell Art Walk (BAW), an evening of fine art and live entertainment, will take place on Tuesday, June 30th at several venues in the neighborhood of Miami’s Mary Brickell Village. More than 10 established artists will be displaying over 100 modern and contemporary art masterpieces curated by renowned local and international curators.
Participating venues, which will include, among others, Perricone’s, Balans and Red Bar Gallery, will be transformed to highlight a spectacular selection of modern and contemporary paintings, works on paper, drawings, photography and sculpture (both indoor and outdoor). Attendees will have the opportunity to view and purchase work from recognized artists such as Antonio Guerrero, David Siqueiros, Ernesto Kunde, Floyd Heglichs, Richard Kurtz and others.
“We’re excited to launch the new Brickell Art Walk, a monthly event that brings together hundreds of modern and contemporary artworks from an international array of galleries,” said BAW Executive Director Felipe Garcia. “In celebration of the launch and the fantastic local support we’ve been receiving, we will donate a portion of the proceeds from this event to Art Studio Miami in support of their mission to heal systematic poverty with creative-holistic arts integration.”
Preceding the launch, on Monday, June 25, BAW will host an opening-night party and preview event in the Mary Brickell Village Plaza for invited guests only, where Ms. Stella Holmes, arts patron, collector and founder of The Brickellian and Brickell Gallery Night, will be presented with a lifetime achievement award celebrating her longtime efforts to build cultural synergy in the Brickell area and South Florida.
